Fantasy Football - Winning Wingman Team

Okay this is a little different than the posts that I've been posting but it still involves us, and any other Wingman Association group of guys.  We are doing a fantasy football league this year.  I will most likely keep posting updates of this but this is just the intro into our season, me keeping you guys up to date with us lol.  Most likely I will choose the best team, haha just kidding.  Hopefully I make some good decisions and I can share my strategy and reasoning behind my decisions this year.

Wingman-ing at its finest

Okay so this is a real story of me and my friends. I'm not gonna use any names or any descriptions of the people involved but just know that its a real story and its one that could make it to the wingman hall of fame. One night we were at a party, regular party nothing special, and as it was coming to a close, people were getting tired, heading home, and passing out. One of our friends went to sleep already while me and my other friend kept talking to these girls. One girl was semi-interested in our other friend that passed out already but she, knowing that he was asleep already, was just gonna leave already. My other friend, being the true wingman that he is, spent like an hour and a half convincing her that he wanted her to wake him up and hook up with her. Finally she was convinced and went into our other friends room and the wingman's job was complete.

The reason I think this is one for the hall of fame is because put yourself in this situation. For the wingman, the night was ending but he knew that he could still help his friend out and the night could be a success. For our friend, just imagine taking a short nap and then being woken up by a woman ready to do all the work; our friend didn't have to do anything but relax and let his wingman pick up a girl for him.

Be Carefull When Tailgating

With football coming up I figure I'd put out a warning of something I know for a fact happens on occasion.  If you are gonna leave your truck and go into the game to watch, make sure you secure and lock your cooler and don't leave it in the truck bed.  If you have a nice cooler with a lot of beer it may find legs and end up disappearing when your away from your truck.  The only way to prevent this type of thing from happening is to lock it up or put the cooler inside your truck.

Las Vegas for the first time

We went to Las Vegas for the first time this past summer. We underestimated a lot of things and because of our lack of experience we didn't get to fully benefit from being in Vegas.

Gambling: For me personally, I really enjoyed Craps, especially when we were all drinking and the table was hot. We just asked the dealers to help us out and it wasn't too hard to pick up. By the last night I was winning a good amount of money in craps.  I also played poker, Texas-holdem, and won money, but I don't like to mix drinking and poker lol so I didn't spend too much time playing poker.  One of us played a good amount of Black Jack and won a good amount of money but I didn't play too much.  Also we learned its good too take a break when things aren't going good lol, or stop playing if you luck isn't going very well.

Drinking/Daytime: Basically we were drinking the majority of the time we were up there.  During the day if we weren't sleeping or in our room we were out cruising  having a beer somewhere.  Walking the strip was cool but it is super hot and I should have brought up more shorts and summer clothes.  We live in Hawaii so it was also important to have chap stick because the dry weather was drying up our lips.


Drinking/Nighttime: We usually went out to a club during the night.  There are a couple things that we learned.  First thing we learned is that it is going to cost a lot if you wanna have fun; one of the nights we were there we got bottle service at the club, which made things way more fun and way easier to get girls to come hang out with us (sad but true, girls will jump at the suggestion of free drinks, and hanging out in a private section lol).  We went to downtown to hang out one night and there were two dollar Heineken and coronas, which was a deal.  Also by the last couple nights we were there we started calling and putting our names on the guest list at the clubs we were planning on going to; this was a big lesson because it saves having to stand in a long ass line and it doesn't cost anything to put your group on the guest list.

Things for next time:  This past time we went up we didn't bring up enough money , if we go again we will have to save up a little more cash.  We went up two and a half guys strong (the third guy wasn't kicking it with us part of the time), although it was still fun we needed more people.  With more people we could have multiple cliques within the group, i.e. if some guys wanna gamble, and others wanna go to a club.  Also the monorails are something we didn't take advantage of until the last night, the monorails make getting around so much easier.  Also don't rely on getting free drinks while gambling, going up everyone would say you get "free" drinks but that just isnt the case; I would sit there and gamble away a bunch of money before the server would come with the drink I ordered, then i would have to tip her.  After its all said and done I spend 10 to 20 bucks(if im lucky, more if im real cold) before i get my "free" beverage.

This is just stuff off the top of my head, any questions or anything just ask and Ill be happy to give my best answer.  Remember this is also just all opinion and me and my friends experience, it may vary with everyone else.

Dos Equis is good but...

Dos Equis is good and the most interesting man in the world is badass... but even if it only takes one guy to talk to a woman, A Wingman is there to distract the girl's friend or friends, give the "go" or "no go", and/or provide a good exit plan in case things go bad.

Power Showers

Its not uncommon for people to pre-game before going out (Pre-Game meaning to get a little buzz going before heading to the game, club, party, etc.) One technique that we used to use while I was dorming during my first year of college was taking a power shower. A power shower is when you drink while you take a hot shower. This was a great option when we were in a rush and we wanted to get a good buzz, and get ready to head out. For me, personally, I would usually bring 2 or 3 beers into the shower with me and shotgun them, one before I wash my hair, one after I wash my hair, and one after I finish washing my body. Some of my other friends would maybe take shots or drink a orange juice vodka.
